Finance: Amazing History: Prescott Oliver was born to two parents who believed in his success more than he did, in a cabal of siblings where their rivalry was fairly fierce as children. From early on, it was clear he was going to be a lawyer - he loved to argue and he usually won. And he had to win, because the competition was fierce. He had to succeed, and to do so he had to be out of the shadow of his parents. After college and law school, he settled in Miami. He started working for an important business - met his wife, an already successful financial analyst. His life, professionally and personally, was perfect. Okay, except perhaps for the fact that his clients were getting away with raping the law and he was helping them. Or that his wife was in their marriage for the status and not exactly for the marriage. He could handle that, and if he needed a few drinks to be able to, then really who could say it was, persay, 'wrong'? Fast-forward to the age of thirty-five - where Prescott was a bitter drunk on the right side of a messy divorce, and a mere hairs-breath from losing his ability to practice law. He was sitting in this state one night, looking at a half-empty bottle in a bar. That's when a young man named Jay Wayne took a seat next to him and offered him a deal. He'd ensure Prescott's license, he'd get him sobered up, and after that? Prescott would have a bright new life ahead of him. All he had to do was, once and awhile, take care of a few legal problems for him. What did he have to lose? Fast-forward five years - through therapy, divorce, and being sober and clean, and Prescott is now moving to Tampa to deal more directly with the 'few, niggling legal issues' that Jay seemed to keep finding, not to mention he had a new 'friend' who might be interested in hiring him... a woman named Shine. He can't stand the work -- but he owes Jay his life, and that's a debt of honor he's got to pay back. To weigh out his karma, he's taken to being the best and fairest defense lawyer in Florida. It's a reputation that makes him a winner -- but this time, hopefully, it'll be on his terms. If only he can deal with the strangely familar voice cropping up in his head, his AA sponsoree calling him at all hours of the day, Jay and Shine all hours of the night, and his little sister being the Mayor of Tampa. Past Background Occupation: Chief Medical Officer - Atlantis, Doctor, Virologist and Geneticist Education: University of Edinburgh Activities: Fishing, reading, playing around with DNA coding Home:Scotland Finance: He's got a lot ... saved up. History: Carson came from a large, bosterious and very emotionally open family in Scotland. He was the one who went onto college and beyond, becoming a brilliant geneticist and one of the tops in his field. It was this expertise that caught the SGC's attention, and they recruited him to work out of Siberia, with the brilliant Rodney McKay. He was the one who discovered the link between a certain gene type and how to work the Ancient material. He was also the one who developed the serum that gave a good number of the Atlantis party their ATA gene, not to mention discovering a cure to the Wraith condition. He died in an explosion on Atlantis, but was discovered to be cloned by a number of their Wraith enemies. He escaped, and has recently returned to the Pegaus Galaxy to continue his work.
